about

Something comes from nothing, comes from something, comes from everything...and so it was.

It started with a statement, "I think it's music, man," a childhood house left empty, and a car full of gifted instruments.

We thought we'd finish whatever it was we were starting within two weeks, with only our two voices, but it has become something else entirely.

6 months, 14 friends, a little black box, and 1 microphone later, the spark of what it was, has grown.

We'll carry on from here, through all of the Carrie Anne's, Cassandra's, Stan's, or some yet to be known as man, because we're all being beings, Being Beings.

This is a record given to you, from the top of the fifteen foot man, who's tears fell over smiles as he cried "Goss."

Given to you by she, who's been groovin' since the womb, frozen in time, makin' her mark, as canyons begin to creep on her cheeks with rain.

And she, she whose ripple learned to dance.

Now there's nothing left, no other step to step, except waiting to be born into today.

A father bows his pride making the sea, floated over by the voice she knew was free, speaking with a creature that purred, in harmony.

Marathon moon man is as patient as a glacier, walking through songs, passing glances, whistling as he goes, drifting in reverie.

Let brothers be brothers and others find others and others find others and others find,

one throat loosened by laughter, howls two words, that will be ever be heard in your sky. She wants to die, she says, and let it be on the dance floor.

Swept up in her own surprise, she knows where the eyelash goes when it rolls behind the bees, butterflies, dragonflies, and flies.

We've tasted the sweetness, we're ready now, to walk the walk.

A name said twice isn't repetition if you never notice twice, one yells, while the other whispers, both call from their core, which is care, standing on each other's shoulders,

and a slow hum was heard, over and over, coming from every direction, her voice was every voice, chasing away the mist,

which always dissipates when you trust someone you've never known, ideas never grown, and realize you found someone like you, a story worth being retold.

With love, from the bottom of our feet to the top of our heads,
Asher and Michael

Track Name: The Spark Of What It Is
your mother died
she died today
she died without you there
your brother died
he died today
he died and you don't know where

tears fell hard
fell harder than,
whatever words you choose to speak
but somehow,
in that face remains

the spark of what it is
that you seek.
Track Name: Grows.
grows, it grows, it grows, it grows.

Mother used to tell me
of a tree where I was picked from.
If this is true,
then fathers, sister, mothers, brothers friends and lovers,
you were picked too.

And on a day like today my mother would say,
"Look up dear, there's water in the sky"

grows, it grows, it grows, it grows.

It could just be a sound
tickling from the ground,
waving with the wind
until it begins to shake your limbs,
and make you want to move.

I don't want to be anything I ever see,
and I never feel need to fly to the highest high,
or dive to the deepest deep,
and my arms will never strain to hold
something they can't keep.
And are you listening my friend?
This song, it was written for you.

grows, it grows, it grows, it grows.

Something comes from nothing,
comes from something,
comes from everything.

grows, it grows, it grows, it grows.

My mind will never fill with knowledge taught,
but my heart will swell,
at the sound of trees,
collaborating with the breeze,
a bird flapping its wings,
with an ease that blends
the taste of a fresh,
picked you-name-it
with a smile from a friend
who is here,
was,
and forever then.
Track Name: So Carry On, Carrie Anne,
Her turns and ripples,
turn your feet to whistles,
turn the streets to thistles,
another armpit tickled,
and you dance
because you can.

Carry on, Carrie Anne.

She wears a piece sign on her t-shirt,
I guess that means that she likes peace.
Spinning her feet to the tune
of opening her heart
which pours in all directions,
she's an overnight psychic, polyphonic, philanthropic buzz baby,
once a moonlit make believe,
now another dust covered thing.

Carry on, Carrie Anne.

She makes me think that everybody just wants to be loved.

Everyone just wants to be loved.

I wouldn't know if I told you so,
it's something you carry in your soul,
whose sound surrounds sound,
whose sound,
whose sound,
whose sound,
sound,
sound,
sound,
intertwined, down the spine, blind
but always hums.
Track Name: We Are All Being Beings.
Noise makes noise shapers,
so bring your noise makers
and let's go.

If you never pass a cloud that you don't name,
nobody's face will ever look the same.

We're all.
We're all.
We're all.
Oh, we're all.

If you repeat it enough,
eventually it'll catch on,
so wear a poet on your sleeve.

Can you feel the thunder in your feet?
Can you taste the river with your hair?
Can you kiss the sun with your belly button?
Basically, when it comes down to it,
Can you afford the voodoo mantra?
I said, Can you afford the voodoo mantra?

Being Beings
Being Beings
Being Beings
We're all
Being Beings
Being Beings
Being Beings
We're all
I said,
We're all Being Beings.
Being Beings
Being Beings
Being Beings

Track Name: Groovin' In The Womb,
See it ain't nothin' but cool words to a cool storm,
burning up my mind, it was light bulbs all along,
so fresh and so new,
take me back to the crickets and trains,
moments of tranquility that I can't exactly explain,
but I'll try.
It's like watching puffy clouds go by,
way in the air.
Can you picture it?
Now just see me there.
I'm just grooving along to everything in this song,
I'm trying to tell you
I feel this is where I belong.
For all the right reasons,
I be steady grooving,
see my light as plain as day,
now I got my soul doing whatever I want,
this is my fire and desire gettin' lifted, fully powered, watch me as I get higher.

Good light, Good love, Good sound.

I'm so out of this world,
yesterday I saw a shooting star.
She said, "We can be friends,
stick with me," man this journey never ends.
I should start out just by telling you
the origins of myself,
I call it the perfect view.
It's stationed in the back, in front of you.
Well I'm a little intricate,
I like to keep myself, to myself,
oh so quiet, but oh so felt,
and i go for depth, with sequence left.
If i go for right, I just might take my flight in to outer space,
now lets get laced on the simple fact that life is great.

In the back of my mind
I'm right on time.
It ain't no way I can be late.
Isn't this the perfect way,
the great escape,
the path is laid,
the due is paid,
song notes tattered back of my brain,
a constant song,
a groove in the womb.

Good light, Good love, Good sound.

Let it all out,
and now life's consumed.
She brought me to the light,
she taught me to do right,
my tutorial was heard.
She showed me right to the front door.
And everything that I learned,
everything that I felt, transferred into self.
You feelin me now?
You can go ahead, cut it, and
I think i got it from here.
Life's so sweet,
I'm just trying to make it real clear,
to me,
groovin',
I can steady be,
consumed in the wrath,
it put me right on the path.
I guess everything is laid,
I guess this is the time that I can spray
all my knowledge of the forefront,
like the waves just crashing,
I can be out here for days,
feel the wind breeze right through my dreads,
they a little thick,
but then again so is my head.
I get a little hardheaded,
but i guess you'd say i started with it.

Good light, Good love, Good sound.

I took a shot in the dark,
got my own style,
now I'm going to spark, a few ideas,
I've been holding back for years.
Didn't think i had it in me,
but the picture painted so so pretty.
I've been lookin' for it.
I've been lookin' for it.

When your soul is smilin'
I guess that you found it,
put your planet roots in the ground
watch them while they,
sprout so cool.
I'm on a different plain, I sound so cool.
I feel real smooth,
just like this song,
bringing in the groove,
but the world won't let me,
blinders over my eyes,
my sense won't let me.

Belly up, leaves space to move,
So shake a shake and alter moods.
Make the lake around you swoon,
while ripples learn to dance.
Is this chance?

Good light, Good love, Good sound.

Belly up, leaves space to move
So shake a shake and alter moods.
Make the lake around you swoon,
while ripples learn to dance.
Is this chance?

If I wasn't chillin',
then I wouldn't be groovin'.
If I wasn't groovin',
then i wouldn't be movin'.
If I wasn't movin',
then I would be still.
And then there would be no groove left for me to give.
And I can't have that. Nah.

My dad used to say if I chilled any more then I would be frozen.
I guess that's my point,
that's what I'm trying to get,
frozen in time,

make my mark.
Track Name: Waiting,
Sitting like the stone of sand
battered, beaten, torn by man,
makes no movement towards the land,
demands that all is well.
There is no more uphill,
it's simply his to will.

It leaves a face gently changed,
canyons creep on cheeks with rain,
uttered speech alters brains,
remains of what was once,
of life long after sons,
of newness lightly strummed.

Until toes that slap on concrete streets,
pad through grasses, dirt, and heat,
pick up things through feet that seep,
thoughts you've never known,
ideas never grown,
spoken through teeth of stone.

Until there's nothing left,
no other steps to step, except...

Footsteps are still steps.
Footsteps are still steps.
Footsteps are still steps.
Footsteps are still steps.
Track Name: He Was
He was born today.

I was born Michael.
I was raised Michael.
I've had no choice in it.
But I pass over this way now,
so if you've got a moment, would you show me how
to look the way you look,
and see the way you see,
to touch the way I feel,
and dig right down beneath?

Well I've got a minute
maybe ten
got an hour or so
well a whole day then
so let me carry you this way
take me to wherever which way would be
every time you look you will see nothingness
and every tree would breeze the same way twice
unless you never notice twice
and every repetition wasn't repetition
it was
just what it was
it was
just what it was
he saw the world
the same way he saw the world
only when he saw the world
otherwise
he never saw the world

My brother was born, born today.

The baby fat falls from his cheeks,
a long sleep opens his eyes.
They look into them as they always do,
crowding around to see,
hoping that a penny ocean's glance
will set them free.
He says little,
stares lots,
providing space while twisting knots,
leading friends with a silent back
and slack that doesn't break.
"Creates the space," is whispered back and forth
upon a moonlit shore.
It doesn't matter which,
it's happened so much since,
a thought on what this is,
on why,
on how,
on who.
It's only dust,
and this is where the wind will blow us now.

(soon you'll find it)

Like an old oak,
it only takes a moment to soak in
the steadiness of the soul.
To the mobile, who scatter and float,
they may appear to not being doing much at all,
a snide remark, a look-down bark,
but they never want their tree to grow.
And underneath it's branches,
that filter out the sun,
a new thought comes,
a new idea's sprung,
a new song's song,
the pulse of never used lungs,
erupts and changes all the pages that haven't been written yet.

A simple thank you for the shade is all that's ever said,
but this is the parade.

The tree sinks low and blows it's brow in the wind,
lets the new friend pass along where they please,
and waits.
Track Name: Born In A Belly, Floating, Lost At Sea, But Free,
born in a belly, floating, lost at sea, but free.
Track Name: Passing Glances,
You know what you know.

Where is wonder's secret blunder?
Under hammer's splintered thunder?
Pushed upon our men and women,
Fallen to our sacred children,
a wish upon a star is fallen,
listen closely,
hear it calling you.

You know what you know.

Patient glaciers, flashing glances,
slowly rolling, watch their dances.
Silent speakers, sneaking coldly,
how they roll, so low, but holy,
carry with them words of cycles,
leaving letters for us hikers,
sweet and cool breath, breathe and grow,
the footsteps that say ebb and flow.

You know what you know.
Track Name: In Reverie,
Oh! Look where we are!
And how far!
We can't stop now,
when this will pass.
Let brothers be brothers and others find others and others find others.

Embrace its grace,
its race and face say the same taste
bud, my buddy, my best friend, I've ever known.
A shape sewn,
A mind blown,
Bloom make room,
for others and others and others and others and others and others
with their lives in front of their kind.

Dawn is upon us again, my friend.
Dawn turns to noon, turns to dusk, turns to moon.

Oh! Look where we are!
And how far!
We can't stop now,
when this will pass.
Let brothers be brothers and others find others and others find others!

Dawn turns to noon, turns to dusk, turns to moon.

So which way will we go today,
who's eyes will we jump inside?
which way will we go today?
who's wind will we ride?

Dawn turns to you.

Oh! Look where we are!
And how far!
We can't stop now,
when this will pass.
Let brothers be brothers and others find others and others find others!

Dusk turns to noon,
turns to dawn
turns to moon,
Dusk turns to noon
turns to dawn,
turns to you.

So let it guide,
and let it slide and slip inside,
because dust won't divide
into nothing,
but something,
over and over again,
with no beginning or end,
no rhythm or rhyme,
from nursery in the dusk
to a moon turn to dawn,
turned to noon,
turned to dusk,
turned to me ,
and i,
turn to you,
my brother,
my friend,
for luminance,
for incidents ,
for happen chance,
for love at its absolute best.
Track Name: In Our Sky,
On a day like today,
my mother would say,
"Look up dear, there's water in the sky!
Way up there, floatin' on by,
coming and going with no reason why,
other than to show us what's high.
And where to look
when they cry their sweet tears
and mix with our salty selves,
skin dripping and sticking to the bottom of our shoes,
as we pick up speed,
and spread everything's seeds,
even our own,
yes our own dear,
because you can't separate yourself from what you relate to
nor what relates to you."

and little bit later in the day my mother would say…

"No need to raise a finger in honor of its name,
it will be here forever and ever and ever and ever,
all the same.
Much like the feeling you feel
when i wave to you in passing,
oh boy,
you know this goodbye is not lasting,
and that from me came you,
from me came you,
from me came you,
from you came me,
with your big baby blues and a belly as round as a full
as the noon-time sun,
yes son, my son,
your place in my heart takes the same shape and sound
as the brightest light, in our…sky!

She wants to die,
I want to live forever,
She wants to die,
I want to live forever,
She wants to die,
on the dance floor!
Track Name: With Bees, Butterflies, Dragonflies, And Flies,
Bees, butterflies, dragonflies, flies.

waves tide,
rung high,
feet sinking into an abyss of grain.
I'll step a little closer,
see if it pulls me in,
our spits me out.
My love for you transforms like the wings on a travelin' mist.
Come here closer baby,
a little closer,
just like this.

Let's just say the tree, it has branches,
but your skin is all you've been in.
And as we slow, we're solid, and we spread out.

Your own skin is all you've been thinking in.

Open and close,
as the lotus told.
In the minds of the well-wishers
and the instant love, love, love, love-bird kissers,
it all breaks down to,
it all breaks down to,
bees, butterflies, dragonflies, flies,
swept up, in a riddler's vine,
where the eyelash goes, when it rolls behind,
it all breaks down to,
it all breaks down to,
bees, butterflies, dragonflies, flies.
Track Name: Tasting Persimmon's Sweetness,
Before the old man was an old man,
he was a young man, he was a child.
Before he climbs his Everest,
he must think of it, and smile.

And so he knows that he must just keep on walking though,
And he knows that he'll just keep walking though,
he'll keep on walking,
he'll keep on walking.

Footsteps lead to new days passed, which smile,
because the bold demand no glance and,
he's only been here for a while,
now they know,
now they know,
that wisdom's name is bold.
They keep walking though,
they just keep walking though,
they keep on walking,
they keep on walking,

You've had dreams and so have I,
you've watched me grow,
and I know I must watch you die.

But we both know,
we'll just keep walking though,
we both know we'll just keep walking though,
we'll keep on walking, though,
we'll keep on walking, though,
we will just keep on walking,
walking,
walking,
though.

We'll just keep walking.
Track Name: Laughing At The Clouds,
around, around, around…

In the end of the world, we'll all parade around.

Throw our heads back, and laugh at the clouds,
because in the end of the world, we'll all parade around.

Stand on each other's shoulders and fly off the ground!

In the end of the world, we'll all parade around.
Track Name: And Realizing
Some days you know where to go.
Some days will feel like the best days.
Some days will feel like the only days where everything works right.

And you'll realize…

You found someone like you.
